There are currently two vacancies on the Board of Directors of Durham College Students Inc.: the Director for the School of Skilled Trades, Apprenticeship and Renewable Technology (vacant since the 2018 Elections) and the Director for the School of Justice and Emergency Services. These positions will be filled for a term starting on March 1, 2019 and ending on May 31, 2019.
For this selection process, each candidate will be asked to submit a bio of not more than 500 words for the website. Also each candidate will have up to two minute to speak at the AGM. No other formal campaigning, including posters, or social media posts will be permitted, however candidates can share the website with their bios on it.
The Board of Directors is the highest ranking governing authority for DCSI, and is responsible for setting the overall direction for the organization and supervising the senior staff of DCSI.
The time commitment for this position is approximately 5 hours a month.
